Paul Boling has been affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) his whole life. Ministry is a family endeavor; his father, brother, and brother in-law are also ministers.
Paul became a youth minister at Turner Christian Church in 1987 while attending Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated with a B.S. in Speech Communication.
Paul attended Seminary at Phillips Graduate School of Theology in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and continued in youth ministry at Putnam City Christian Church in Oklahoma City. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity and was ordained in August 1997.
In October 1997, Paul moved to Springfield, Missouri, and worked with his father and brother in establishing Gateway Christian Church. During this time he was active in campus ministry at Drury University.
Paul married the love of his life, Emily, in April 2002. They moved to Corvallis, Oregon, in August 2003 where Emily works in residential education at Oregon State University. They had two boys in Corvallis; James in April 2005 and Sam in January 2007. Paul's family is his greatest joy.
Paul has a passion in ministry for; social justice, youth, campus, families, worship, and music. He believes the church community is called to reach out to the greater community and practice the gospel message of good news to all. Paul would be happy to talk with you about life and faith. |
