The United Campus Ministry at Oregon State University is an ecumenical outreach to the University and beyond, taking as its guide Micah's call to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God," and committing itself to a Christian presence that pursues peace with justice; nurtures students, faculty, and staff; and calls the academy to advance humane values.
Mission Statement The United Campus Ministry at Oregon State University is an ecumenical ministry of the Christian faith committed to nurturing the spiritual growth of students and members of the larger university community.
Operating Principles
- United Campus Ministry will reach out to students and welcome all members of the university community while providing a hospitable place for exploration of Christianity.
- United Campus Ministry will create a Christ-centered, loving community where members are valued and feel free to ask questions, express doubts, share concerns and celebrations, and be nurtured as they explore life.
- United Campus Ministry will provide a place where faith and life intersect by serving as a bridge for students in their journey from high school to life beyond college, between the sponsoring churches and the university, and between Christ and the ever-changing world.
- United Campus Ministry will work to build a world where peace and justice reign through compassion and hospitality. It is our tradition to follow the teaching of Christ and act in accordance with Micah's words to ... "seek justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God."
