About Our Church
|
|
We are inclusive in fellowship and eager to welcome you into our community of faith and life. We are a diverse congregation in which every person is valued and all people are welcomed. You will find the kind of warmth, acceptance and support that each of us needs to live and cope in a very complex world of confusing values and demanding responsibilities. Everyone is welcome here.
|
People unite with the congregation by baptism or by transfer of membership.
Baptism is conducted by immersion for those having reached the age of consent who have not been previously baptized.
We recognize and accept the baptisms of all persons, regardless of the form of baptism or the age of the one who has been baptized.

Believers Baptism is practiced in this congregation, which means only those persons who are at the age of consent will be baptized.
Generally, baptism will be by immersion in the sanctuary baptistery. However, special needs of individuals will be taken into consideration.
If you are interested in being baptized into the Christian Faith, please fill out the following form and give it to one of our ministers, place it in the offering plate, or leave it in the church office. A minister will contact you to discuss baptism.

As members of the Christian Church we confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world.
In Christ’s name and by his grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people. We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in the covenant of love which binds us to God and one another. Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God.
In the communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ. At the table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ. Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture. In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. Blessing, glory and honor be to God forever. Amen
